HyperSolar Inc. has reportedly announced that it is collaborating with Suzhou GH New Energy, a subsidiary of GCL Poly, to make modifications in solar cells required to develop Gen 1 hydrogen production panels. These panels will be utilized in demonstration pilot plants.
For the record, HyperSolar Inc. is the developer of the breakthrough method to produce renewable hydrogen.
Speaking on which, Tim Young, CEO of HyperSolar said that although the company has experienced few delays in processing due to the ongoing pandemic, the work in China is now progressing. After assessing several suppliers across the globe, HyperSolar concludes that Suzhou GH has been the most reliable and best option for the company. The company’s relationship with Suzhou GH has also connected it to other economical and high-quality economical suppliers for the processing of the building and cell modules.
In the year 2019, China granted a patent to protect HyperSolar’s intellectual property—pertaining to the use of multi-junction solar cells for producing hydrogen in China. Also, there is no tariff on the solar cells that the company buys from China.
Mr. Young added that Suzhou GH is the best partner to support the company in Gen 1 development and commence the process of building demonstration plants.
For the record, HyperSolar is producing a low-cost, breakthrough technology to generate renewable hydrogen by leveraging sunlight and any source of water sources like wastewater and seawater.
Conventional hydrocarbon fuels, such as coal, oil and natural gas, produce carbon dioxide and other harmful gas into the atmosphere. On the other hand, hydrogen fuel produces pure water as the by-product.
By advancing the water electrolysis process at the nano-level, the company’s low-cost nanoparticles mimic the photosynthesis process to use sunlight to separate water and hydrogen and produce renewable hydrogen.
The company aims to facilitate distributed hydrogen production for producing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and renewable electricity.
