Diamond Pharma buys PharmaCentral to expand PV services in Europe

Diamond Pharma Services, renowned regulatory affairs and technical services consulting group, recently announced that Diamond PV Services, its Pharmacovigilance division, has acquired PharmaCentral, which is a novel medical affairs and pharmacovigilance services provider based in Dublin, Ireland.

The acquisition will be helping Diamond in expanding its presence across Europe as well as improve the senior-level expertise in the pharmacovigilance team.

Apparently, PharmaCentral generally provides an extensive range of services of pharmacovigilance consultancy which is mostly based on the abundance of experience in medical affairs, pharmacovigilance and CRO environments. The purchase of the company suggests a strong growth strategy of Diamond for the pharmacovigilance division, which has mainly secured a Compound Annual Growth Rate at 27% in terms of revenues in the span of the last three years.

This quick expansion of the pharmacovigilance senior team of Diamond is needed to help the clients from the regulatory affairs business of Diamond across specialist areas like cell and gene therapies.

According to reliable sources, Diamond Pharma Services offers pharmacovigilance, compliance, regulatory affairs and quality services to help the biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms in securing as well as maintaining the medicinal product licenses across every stage of the life cycle of the product. Diamond will continue with the expansion of its presence in Dublin in 2020, along with the consistent recruitment in all the three divisions.

Diamond PV Services Managing Director, David Boyd commented that the company had witnessed a sturdy organic growth in the past three years that has encouraged the firm to evaluate all the resources, like its processes, systems and in-house expertise. The acquisition shall support Diamond’s next growth phase by representing a step change in its senior team.

Boyd further added that after working with PharmaCentral closely over a year in the past, he believes they share the same quality, accessibility and culture of flexibility as Diamond. The company is looking forward towards delivering a shared vision for helping clients maintain the regulatory responsibilities with the changing environment.
