Alliant acquires Senior Market Sales to expand benefits platform

Alliant Insurance Service, Inc., a U.S-based finance company, has inked an acquisition agreement with prominent insurance marketing organization (IMO), Senior Market Sales, Inc. (SMS). Reports claim that the purchase would introduce a new line of business amongst Alliant’s Employee Benefits platform.

This would help the insurance company to bring a robust suite of new & innovative financial services and insurance solutions that offer a defined strategic benefit to insurance agents in the U.S. SMS’ strong product portfolio includes a solid lineup of travel insurance, financial services ranging from long-term and lifecare insurance to annuities, and Medicare solutions.

Senior Market Sales has over 65,000 independent agents under contract and 300 employees. Services of SMS aid all facets of an agent’s operation with an inclusive senior product portfolio and a comprehensive range of services, marketing programs and tools.

Sources cite that the entire team of SMS will be joining Alliant and will continue serving their clients nationwide under the alias of Senior Market Sales from its Omaha headquarters. However, the terms of the agreement are still under wraps.

Speaking on the move, Tom Corbett, CEO and Chairman, Alliant, said that combining SMS’ prevailing platform with their company’s platform would enable delivering a service to its clients and broker partners that is beyond today’s employee benefits.

The move solidifies Alliant’s commitment towards a full-service benefits solution and diversifies its services with new and advanced tools, resources, and technologies that would enhance its product portfolio in the U.S.

As for Jim Summers, President, Senior Market Sales, both companies are a perfect fit for each other and share common entrepreneurial spirit and cultures. Alliant shares the same determination that is to have an unwavering dedication to deliver unparalleled services, innovative solutions and quality products to its customers.
