All Covered acquires Depth Security to strengthen security offerings

The acquisition has equipped All covered with both Blue Team (Vulnerability Management, Active Defense security monitoring) and Read Team (Advisory emulation and Testing Services) capabilities.
 

All Covered Inc., together with its parent organization Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A, has reportedly acquired cybersecurity consulting company Depth Security. The acquisition has uniquely positioned the company to provide offer holistic security offerings.

As most organizations have seen an increase in cyber threats and attacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, the deal comes at an opportune time for the company. The acquisition will significantly strengthen the All Covered portfolio, particularly in the penetration testing market, which is anticipated  to increase at a 14.9% CAGR by 2025.

The acquisition has equipped All covered with both Blue Team (Vulnerability Management, Active Defense security monitoring) and Read Team (Advisory emulation and Testing Services) capabilities, along with Threat Landscape, Managed Security Awareness Training, and vCISO services.

For the record, All Covered is a renowned MSP that has been acquiring several IT service companies over the past few years. On the cybersecurity front, the company also acquired VioPoint in 2018.

In a statement, Rick Taylor, CEO, and President of Konica Minolta, has highlighted the importance of security offerings to safeguard consumers’ data. He said that the acquisition would accelerate the company’s ability to safeguard their clients’ data.

Established in 2006, Depth Security is a team of security engineers with decades of experience and proven case studies. The company’s professionals specialize in providing visibility into threats facing operations and infrastructure, with application and network penetration testing and adversary emulation.

Depth Security creates a simulation of real-world cyber-attacks using the same techniques and tools as attackers to detect vulnerabilities. The company builds, designs, and deploys cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions such as Advance Endpoint Protection, Endpoint Application Control, Mobile Threat Prevention, Threat Emulation and Extraction, Next-Generation Firewall, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Network Access Control.
