Brex acquires 3 San Francisco-based startups to strengthen offerings

US-based financial service and technology company Brex, which helps accelerate entrepreneurs and scale businesses, recently announced three acquisitions that are likely to add substantial engineering and product talent to its portfolio. These companies are Compose Labs, Landria and Neji, all based out of San Francisco.

Henrique Dubugras, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Brex said that the company is committed to enabling growing businesses to scale, particularly in challenging environments. Dubugras added that the firm is looking forward to bringing the talented team members at Compose Labs, Landria and Neji to the Brex team.

The San Francisco-based startup Neji develops blockchain & networking technologies for businesses, and joined Brex to enhance its privacy, risk posture and security, as Brex is enhancing its product development roadmap.

On Neji’s acquisition, Shruti Gupta, Brex Director of Engineering, Trust, reportedly said that protecting customer data and assets is a key field and aim of Brex and the company is elated to welcome Neji to the Trust team. Gupta also added that the Neji team brings in its experience it has shared with leading organizations including Microsoft, Google and Amazon.

Compose Labs, that powers next-gen video experiences, including the popular educational platform CommonLounge, will partner Brex to expand the sources and quality of Brex Ecommerce underwriting data while developing expansion products that are valuable.

Another San Francisco-based startup, Landria, that builds internal knowledge databases for organizations, has reportedly joined Brex to augment the core technology infrastructure of the company.

Elena Tatarchenko, Brex Engineering Manager, Foundation, said that the company is looking forward to harnessing the talent and energy of Landria to strengthen the core infrastructure that powers thousands of customers and millions of transactions on the Brex platform.

Together, the team has worked for 2 years and brings experience from many organizations including Palantir, the Central Intelligence Agency and Twilio.
