Bittrex, a U.S.-based cryptocurrency trading platform, has recently announced its acceptance of Mastercard as a means of funding the user accounts.

Mastercard payments made from 36 countries across the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa will be accepted by the company. These payments are subject to a 3% processing fee. Weekly and daily funding limits vary between $2,500 to $10,000 USD/EUR, with $7,500 to $50,000 USD/EUR as the monthly limits, which are dependent on which country the deposits have been made in.

The platform further reported that, apart from the new funding option, USD wire transfers, debit cards, and Visa were considered previously as the accepted payment forms. This move to accept Mastercard as an option to fund the user accounts on the company’s exchange platform supports its aim of increasing the adoption & accessibility to the distributed ledger technology.

Additionally, the move will provide various payment options to the global users, which will enable them to select a convenient method to fund their accounts. It will also assist the trade of cryptocurrency as well as other digital assets to its platform.

In order to fund the accounts by adopting the Mastercard payment option, users must select the method for making credit card deposits to the holdings, choose the desired account, and enter their Mastercard details. In some cases, the transactions may require more authentication via the 3DSecure security protocol. This process of verification is bank specific.

Bittrex, which was founded in 2014, claims to be the global leader in the blockchain revolution. Trading execution, security practices, and digital wallets are being offered by the crypto exchange. The mission of the company is to aid in the advancement of the blockchain industry through a rapid innovation. The company also targets the industry expansion by developing new & emerging technologies as well as driving transformative change.
